Gov Mohammed swears-in One Commissioner, 5 Special Advisers, 2 members of CSC

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has sworn-in a new Commissioner of Education, five Special Advisers and two members of the State Civil Service Commission.

Those sworn-in include Abubakar Ibrahim as the Commissioner of Education, Halima Ibrahim Dimis as Special Adviser for Women Affairs and Project, DIG Sani Usman Mohammed Rtd as Chief Security Adviser and Hassana Arkila as Special Adviser on Empowerment.

Others include Ahmed Tijjani Baba as Special Adviser on Social Re-Orientation, Sha’awanatu Yusuf as Special Adviser on State Action Committee on Gender Based Violence while Alhaji Yusuf Ibrahim and Nasiru Mohammed Yalwa were sworn in for the second term as Permanent Commissioners in the State Civil Service Commission.

Speaking during the ceremony in Bauchi, the governor said that the appointees were selected based on merit following their wealth of experiences in past positions.

He maintained the appointments were aimed at repositioning the administration drive of effective policy formulation and implementation.

“The The swearing in of these new political appointees was done in order to reposition and reinvigorate the present administration in delivering on the mandate of my administration to the citizens of the State”.

“The appointments are aimed at strengthening the government by appointing persons with requisite knowledge and experience in all facets in order to complement the efforts of the government” he said.

He called on them to take their appointments as a call to service to the citizenry and as an opportunity to prove their worth even as he congratulated the new officials and charged them to uphold integrity and strengthen service delivery across the state.

He expressed confidence in their capacity to advance security, promote women’s empowerment, and drive societal reorientation toward addressing moral decline and reshaping public attitudes.

Governor Mohammed reminded the appointees that the oath of office represents a sacred covenant with God and the people, warning against abuse of office or actions capable of bringing government into disrepute.

He noted that the cabinet performance remains under continuous monitoring and evaluation to ensure accountability and effective governance.

Abdulkadir Mohammed, the Commissioner of Education, who replaced the suspended Commissioner, on behalf of the appointees, thanked the governor for the confidence reposed in them

He pledged an unwavering commitment to serving the state.
