The Nasarawa State Governorship aspirants on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) have applauded the administration of President Bola Tinubu and Gov. Abdullahi Sule for their sterling performance.
The aspirants have also expressed their readiness to participate in the planned thank-you rally organised to show solidarity to President Tinubu and Gov. Sule.
They announced this position in Lafia during a meeting with the Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government, Dr. Labaran Magaji, SAN.
Speaking at the meeting, Arch. Shehu Tukur, one of the leading aspirants, commended President Tinubu and Gov Sule’s exemplary leadership style, infrastructural development, and pledged to support the rally.
On his part, Dr Shuaib Faisal, represented by Abdulhamid Kwara, former majority leader, Nasarawa State Assembly, applauded the good work of President Tinubu and Gov Sule, noting that their achievements would leave an indelible mark in the history of Nigeria and Nasarawa State.
“Gov Sule certainly has set a bar for any other person who is coming to add value to what he has done, and if possible, exceed the expectation.
“Mr President has taken far-reaching measures, the outcome may not be immediate, but we have seen an improvement in the revenue, which made the development we are seeing today possible,” he said.
Also speaking is the former IGP. Mr Mohammed Adamu, represented by the director general of his campaign Mr Hussaini Musa, acknowledged the sterling performance of Gov. Sule and President Tinubu and declared his support for the rally.
“The governor’s mantra from day one is exceeding all expectations, and indeed, almost a year plus to the expiration of his tenure, he has simply done so well that the mantra of exceeding all expectations has become a reality.
“Because he has exceeded beyond what ordinarily would have thought he would, given the limited resources that the state has. But he has brought his ingenuity to bear, and today we are witnesses to his laudable achievements,” he said.
Mr Safiyanu Andaha, Chairman, Akwanga Local Government, while speaking to newsmen, said the mega solidarity rally has nothing to do with a political campaign but to appreciate the good works of the President and Gov Sule.
Andaha, who is also the Chairman, Association of Local Government Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGON), Nasarawa State, said that the APC supporters from across the 13 local government areas were ready and willing to show their solidarity and loyalty to the two leaders.
Earlier, Dr Labaran Magaji, Secretary to the Nasarawa State, the convener of the meeting, said the meeting was held to inform all the aspirants ahead of the planned thank you rally for President Tinubu and Gov. Sule, which is scheduled for Thursday.
“We decided to organise a self-funded rally in support of these two very important gentlemen that God has given us as leaders of today.
“It will be recalled that Mr. President came with a robust Renewed Hope agenda ranging from all of the reforms he has introduced, from the removal of fuel subsidy to social investment which has witnessed improved revenue in our state
“And the revenue has translated to various infrastructural development, youth and women empowerment through the instrumentality of prudent management of resources by our governor,” he said. (NAN)
