Nasarawa Govt to Pay end-of-year bonus from Dec. 27- AG

Dr Ahmed Mohammed, Accountant General (AG) of Nasarawa State said that the state government would begin the payment of the 50 per cent salary bonus to civil servants from Dec. 27.

The AG disclosed this in a statement to journalists on Thursday in Lafia.

The Accountant General explained that the payment was in compliance with the directive by Gov. Abdullahi Sule during the 2025 civil service week celebration.

Mohamed noted that this is the first time in the history of the state that civil servants would be given such a bonus in Dec.

“The gesture underscores the administration’s commitment to the welfare of workers in the state and citizens in general.

‎”It is a clear demonstration of the governor’s appreciation for workers’ dedication, resilience, and service to the state throughout the year, the AG added.

‎He stressed that the state decided to pay the bonus separately from the December, 2025 salaries in adherence to proper accounting procedures and convenience.

‎While wishing all citizens happy holidays, the AG was optimistic that civil servants would reciprocate the governor’s magnanimity through renewed dedication to their assigned responsibilities. (NAN).
