Christmas: Plateau Speaker Greet Christian, Preaches Love, Peace, Unity 

Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel, has extended warm Christmas greetings to Christians across Plateau State and Nigeria at large, describing the season as a sacred period of love, sacrifice, peace, and hope for humanity.

In a Christmas message through his Press Secretary, Philip Eplong, the Speaker said the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ offers a timeless reminder of the triumph of light over darkness, selfless service over selfishness, and unity over division. 

He noted that the values embodied by Christmas remain critical to building a peaceful, just, and prosperous society.

Rt. Hon. Daniel called on citizens of Plateau State to use the season to strengthen bonds of brotherhood, forgive one another, and recommit to peaceful coexistence irrespective of ethnic, religious, or political differences. According to him, Plateau State’s diversity remains its greatest strength when harnessed with love and mutual respect.

The Speaker further reassured the people of Plateau State of the  commitment of the 10th Plateau State House of Assembly to accelerate people-centred legislation, transparency, and good governance emphasizing that the Assembly will continue to partner with the Executive and other stakeholders to deliver policies and laws that promote security, economic growth, and social harmony.

Rt. Hon. Daniel also used the opportunity to appreciate the resilience, patience, and support of the people, particularly in the face of daunting economic and social challenges, while praying that the joy of Christmas brings renewed hope, comfort, and blessings to every household.

He prayed for lasting peace in Plateau State and Nigeria, appealing to citizens to carry the spirit of Christmas beyond the season by living lives of kindness, tolerance, and service to humanity.

The Speaker wished believers in Christ a joyful Christmas celebration and all citizens a peaceful and prosperous New Year.
