Who is King Solomon
King Solomon is the messenger of the new Kingdom of GOD that is now on earth, and the Promised Comforter Leader Olumba Olumba Obu and His Christ, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu,the owner, builder and sustainer is here.
What motivated your choice of the kind of music you are into?
My motivation came from coming to know and understand who I am and my purpose, and with the Rasta movement and listening to Bob Marley and the Wailers.
Can you share with us some of the successes you recorded so far?
I have recorded lot of songs over the years, from Brooklyn with Bobby Condors. I did a cover song, Dream of me. I did R and B Album in Dan One studio in Brooklyn and with Jah light records in Trinidad plus few songs in Jamaica and also Africa.
What are some of the major challenges in the music industry.?
Getting to know someone that would give you that push, Jealousy with some brethren because of my voice, thinking I will outshine them. Here in Trinidad some will work with you if they could exploit you. Managers and Promotors, wants you to sing songs that does not fit you Character.
What are your future plans or target in the nearest future.
My plans are to make Africa my base and travel the world to spread the love and the message through music. Current I am working on a project with Island Breeze Entertainment and world link Promotion. Am working on putting out some more songs such as Wonders and signs, Live and love, What’s the use and more.
Am also on media tour in Africa, and am loving it. Working on releasing an Album and looking forward to do a collaboration with brethren from Africa. Am also working on a collaboration with Sparkling Diamond, a cover remixed from Dennis Brown, Come let me love you.
Another plan I have is that i want to come to Africa and do a tour, to sing for my people and touch their hearts, wake up the love in us and together rise and liberate Africa. I want to do another show in Belieze and also tour the caribbean. My aim is to get away from everything and devote my time in the music. The time is now.
Can you tell us your experience combining regular work, music production and writing songs at the same time.
Wow, it is very challenging. Sometimes am so tired, I go to the studio and the sleep want come. Sometimes I go out to sing and the tiredness come down on me but I still have to do what I must because music is my life and my love for the music is out of this world. Writing songs is so mystical when it happens, sometimes It is a wonderful and joyful experience.
Can you share with us little of your new project
Well, am working on a collaboration with Sparkling Diamond. It’s a cover from Dennis Brown, titled, Come let me love you. Am also getting ready to record a few songs and send it to the World link Promotion to put the beat and the instrumental to it. It is a combination of my voice and the heart beat of Africa and send it into the world. That energy would do wonders.
Can you tell us about your current media rounds here in Africa, and other parts? Any major performance or collaboration?
Yes, I had a wonderful time on the media in Africa not too long ago with World link Promotion, Eziekel Gosan on Just City radio plus 97.1 fm Lafia city with Able man, and a few others. I also did a media rounds in Canada and Jamaica. I did a wonderful performance in a show in Belieze after one in Jamaica, called snow on the Island.
I sang in Jamaica when I used to live in new york and came first. I did some shows in Trinidad and it was awesome. This is the second collaboration am doing with Sparkling Diamond. The first one was a tribute to Dennis Brown called revolution. That to was a cover, sang by Dennis Brown. Hoping to collaborate with brethren from Africa too.
