Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has restated its commitment to the development of Greater Karu Development Control Agency.
The Chairman, House Standing Committee on Urban Development Authority, Hon. Musa Saidu Gude made the commitment when the agency appeared before the committee to defend its 2026 budget today in Lafia.
Hon. Gude said that the committee under his watch will not rest until the purpose of establishing Greater Karu Development Control Agency is achieved.
” We have invited you to defend your agency 2026 budget.
” And you should also tell us your areas of challenges because this committee under my watch will ensure that the purpose of establishing Greater Karu Development Control Agency is achieved.
” Because what we want is the development of infrastructure and to ensure that the standard of living of our citizens are improved” he said.
Hon. Gude also commended the management of the agency for being up and doing in order to take the agency to the next level of development.
The Committee Chairman appreciated their efforts in adhering to the agency’s budgetary provisions and charged them to do more in 2026.
He assured them of synergy and collaboration for the development of the agency and the state at large.
The committee chairman commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his zeal and passion for the development of the agency in the state.
Earlier, Mr Yakubu Auta Haruna, the General Manager of the agency said that the agency would continue to appreciate the committee and the House for the support it is enjoying from them and called for more.
” I want to appreciate the Chairman, Honourable members of this committee and the House for the support we are enjoying from you and I call for its sustenance,” he said.
He also thanked Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his passion for development of the agency and the state at large.
“I want to appreciate His Excellency, Engr. A A Sule for supporting our activities to succeed. We are grateful to His Excellency” he said.
He further assured of his commitment to develop infrastructure through the agency policies and programmes.
