” •••• As Bureau DG wants increase in agency’s budget for roads maintenance•••

Nasarawa State House of Assembly, says it would continue to synergize with the Executive Arm in order to ensure speedy development in the State.
Hon. Jacob Ajegena Kudu, the Chairman, House Standing Committee on NASIEC, Multilateral Cooperation and Community Development stated this when the management of the State Bureau for Rural Development appeared before the committee to defend the agency’s 2026 budget today in Lafia.
Hon. Kudu said that the House would continue to support the Executive Arm especially the agency in developing rural communities in the State.
“Tell us sincerely if you have any grey areas so that we can come in for the overall development of rural areas.
He urged the management of the bureau to continue to initiate more projects that will bring speedy growth to the grassroots.
Hon. Kudu assured of their continued support to the activities of the agency to succeed.
The Committee Chairman commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for giving his attention to the development of rural areas and urged him to do more.
Earlier, Alhaji Mohammed Sidi Sani, the Director General, Nasarawa State Bureau for Rural Development appreciated the committee for the cooperation and support it was enjoying from it and called for its sustenance.
He also appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule for prioritizing rural development in the State.
“I want to appeal to the House to increase our budget on maintenance because we have gone round local government and development areas.
“And we have seen the needs to maintain so many roads and some of the roads need upgrade, most especially, the culverts, drainages among others” he said.
The DG called on the people of the State to continue to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.
