Plateau Government moves Muslim Pilgrims Office to Permanent Site

Plateau State Government has relocated the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board to its permanent site, to enhance operational efficiency and to better serve intending pilgrims.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang was represented at the official flag-off ceremony of the board relocation on Thursday in Jos by the Secretary to the State Government.

The new location is at the former Greenhouse along Bauchi Ring-road, Jos.

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Daiyabu Dauda, described the relocation as a demonstration of the government’s commitment to inclusiveness and respect for citizens religious and cultural values.

Alhaji Idris Al’makura, National Chairman of Secretaries of Pilgrims Boards, praised the edifice as one of the best in Nigeria.

The Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board Executive Secretary, represented by Mrs. Helen Ezekiel Abok, highlighted the strong bond between the two boards.

Alhaji Danladi Abdullahi Kwari, Chairman of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, credited Governor Mutfang’s leadership for securing Hajj seats for Plateau State pilgrims.

The event attracted goodwill messages from government officials, traditional, and religious leaders.
