PDP will be stronger, united after national convention – Nasarawa Chairman

Adamu Ninga, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State has expressed confidence and optimism that the party would come out stronger and more united after the forthcoming National Convention.

The PDP had scheduled its convention in Ibadan, Oyo State, from November 15-16, 2025, to elect its new national officials and prepare for the 2027 general elections.

The Nasarawa State PDP Chairman stated this in an interview with journalists after an expanded State Executive Council meeting of the party on Wednesday in Lafia.

Ninga said that the convention is a significant milestone for the party and expressed their unwavering faith in the party’s ability to rebound stronger and more united than ever.

He added that the Ibadan convention would give the party a new lease on life, help it rebuild and reposition the party’s electoral success at the centre and state levels.

“We are more united and determined than ever to reclaim our rightful place in Nigerian politics in general and Nasarawa State politics in particular.”

“The convention will provide a platform for the party to resolve internal conflicts and chart a new course for the future,” he added.

The Nasarawa State PDP Chairman also said that the party under his leadership would provide a level playing field for all members especially those seeking elections in 2027.

He also promised an all-inclusive style of leadership that would carry everybody along and give all members a sense of belonging.

Ninga said that Nasarawa State delegates of the party would be responsible and orderly at the convention to elect the best that lead the party to victory in 2027.

He said that the party had given women four slots as delegates from each of the 13 Local Government Areas of the state to the convention in Oyo State. (NAN).
