The newly elected Chairman of the Lafia Golf Club in Nasarawa State, Mr. Anthony Odi Effa, has promised to introduce innovative strategies aimed at developing the game of golf to both national and international standards while fostering unity among golfers across the country.
Mr. Effa made the pledge while addressing journalists shortly after his inauguration as chairman at the Lafia Golf Club in the state capital.
He described golf as a formidable sport with rich potential for cross-border networking, community development, and strengthening bonds of brotherhood. He stressed the need for members to demonstrate a strong commitment to the ideals of the game.
Mr. Effa urged club members to uphold unity, professionalism, and decorum at all times to accelerate the growth and development of the young Lafia Golf Club.
He commended members for their resilience, adherence to the club’s constitution, and respect for the rule of law, which, according to him, contributed to the peaceful emergence of the new leadership.
