Nasarawa NUJ Consoles Deceased Member’s Family, Pledges Welfare Support

Comrade Salihu Mohammed Alkali commiserating with the family during the NUJ visit

The leadership of Nigerian Union  Journalists NUJ Nasarawa state council has promised to carter for the welfare of the immediate family of late Mr.Abari Isa of Nasarawa Broadcasting services NBS.

Chairman of the Union, Comrade Salihu Mohammed Alkali stated this when he led a delegation of members of the union to commiserate with the family of the deceased in Obi local government area during the three days prayer on Tuesday.

While consoling the family, Comrade Alkali assured that the union under his leadership will assist the immediate family of the late Abari Isa with basic needs especially school fees and other necessities to support the education of the children.

According to him the death of the veteran Journalist is a great loss not only to the immediate family, but to the Nigeria union of Journalists and the state in general.

He described Mr Abari Isa as a dedicated, humble, respectful person who was committed to his assigned responsibilities.

The State NUJ Chairman expressed that the demised of Mr. Abari was painful and shocking to the entire media landscape in the state and prayed Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljjanatul firdausi.

Responding, on behalf of the immediate family Elder brother to the decease, Mr.Joseph Ari said death is inevitable and every mortal will taste death at any time and appreciated the Chairman of Nigerian Union of Journalists Comrade Salihu Muhammad Alkali and his team for coming to commiserate with them during their moment of grief.

Similarly, the National President of  Nigerian Union of Journalists NUJ Alhassan Yahaya has describe the demise of Mr.Abari Isa of Nasarawa Broadcasting Service NBS Lafia as collosal loss to the entire media landscape in the country.

Yahaya stated this  during a condolence visit to the management of Nasarawa Broadcasting Service NBS Lafia.

The National Chairman represented by the state Chairman Nigerian Union of Journalists Comrade Salihu Muhammad Alkali who led a delegation of the State Executive Council SEC on a condolence visit to the station, commiserated with them over the loss of the Journalist.

He described Abari as dedicated and hardworking journalist who made significant contributions to the media industry in Nasarawa state, noting that the union will miss his professionalism and expertise.

The Executive Vice Chairman of Nasarawa Broadcasting Service, NBS Lafia, Malam Awwalu Salihu, who received the delegation on behalf of the management, expressed gratitude for the visit during their moment of grief.

He appreciated the NUJ describing the visit as a demonstration of unity and support within the media community, urging them to sustain the spirit.
