Nasarawa State government have promised a conducive environment for for athletes and contingents of Federal Education Sector Games (FEDUGAM) slated to hold in the State this year, saying the event would be successful having done so in 2017, he praised them for choosing Nasarawa State again to host the sport meet in Lafia the State capital.
The assurance was made the Commissioner of Sport and Youth Development, Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, when the delegation from the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja, in preparation for the forthcoming 5th edition of the Federal Education Sector Games.
In a press Statement issued to sport writers in Lafia the Head of Public Relations, Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mr Eche Amos, said the Nasarawa State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, received a two-man delegation from the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja, ahead of the forthcoming 5th edition of the Federal Education Sector Games, FEDUGAM, in Lafia.



On their part, the two man delegation led FEDUGAM Consultant Chief Okeyinka Matthew, accompanied a Technical Assistant, Comrade Anthony Okoro, disclosed that the visit was in preparation for the forthcoming 5th edition of the Federal Education Sector Games which will hold in Lafia from August 4th-10th, 2025, featuring fifteen Federal Education Sector Agencies participating in various sporting activities.
The delegation presented souvenir kits to the Commissioner, to symbolize the tournament’s endorsement and acceptability in the Home of Solid Minerals, the team also presented similar kits to the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Ibrahim Adamu Alhassan, and Senior Directors of the Ministry.
The last edition of the Federal Education Sector Games was hosted Bauchi State, which is the fourth in the series in 2024.
