
The Federal University Teaching Hospital (FUTH) Lafia has increased clinic access for all Health Insurance enrollees in a bid to enhance patient experience and reduce waiting times.
The is contained in a statement signed by Ruth Namo, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the hospital, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Lafia.
Ruth said that before now, insured patients were only accessing primary healthcare services at the FUTH annex, located in Millionaires Quarters, thereby leading to a lot of delay and congestion.
The PRO said that the insured patients can now receive primary healthcare services at both the FUTH Annex and the main hospital complex along Shendam Road.

She said that this strategic move is expected to ease congestion and ensure more timely medical attention for enrollees.
“The clinic at the main facility will operate on the following schedule; weekdays: 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., while weekends: 10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.
“In addition, insurance desk officers will be stationed at the Health Information (Records) Department to provide necessary assistance to clients and streamline their access to services,” she added.

The PRO said the initiative was aimed at reinforcing the hospital’s commitment to improving service delivery and ensuring quality healthcare for all insurance enrollees.
The hospital spokesperson, therefore, said that by expanding clinic access and providing dedicated support, FUTH aims to improve patient satisfaction and overall healthcare outcomes. (NAN).
