“… hails Commissioner’s innovation, hitting the ground running…”

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has urged the Minsitry of Water Resources to ensure that residents of the state have access to portable water.
This, the House said it has entered into partnership with the ministry to support the Commissioner new innovation to address the water plight of the people of the State.
Hon. John Ovey, the Chairman of the House Committee on Water Resources stated this when the management of the Ministry of Water Resources led the Commissioner Hon. Muhammed Agah Muluku appeared before the committee on its 2025 budget assessment today in Lafia.
Hon. Ovey, who underscores the importance of water to human and societal development, called on the Ministry to ensure enhance provision of water to the people of the state
” I want to commend the Hon Commissioner, who is our forner Senior Colleague, a performing Commissioner for being up and doing in his Minsitry.
” I want to urge you to ensure provision of portable water to the people of the state.
” As He who provides water, provides life’. Human being cannot sustain their lives without water,” he said.
Hon Ovey also urged the Ministry to boost irrigation farming via water supply.
The Committee Chairman assured of their support and synergy with the Ministry to ensure that the people of the state enjoy good water supply just as he appreciated the blue print of the Commissioner aimed at giving the ministry a lifeline.
Earlier, Hon. Mohammed Muluku, Commissioner for Water Resources and Rural Development appreciated the committee for supporting the activities of his ministry to succeed.
Hon. Muluku disclosed that upon assumption in office, he has embarked on tour of water facilities across the state
” With the view of identifying challenges if there are and ensure that people of the state are provided with portable water.
” I am doing best in ensuring that our people get portable water, and that we shall achieve with our blue print his grace” he said.
He also disclosed that Gov. Abdullahi Sule is committed to rural development in the state.
The Commissioner assured of his continued commitment to initiate good policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the state.
