
Hon OJ Afwanks, the Special Adviser to the Plateau State Governor on Budget has condemned in strong terms what he described as senseless killings of four innocent persons in Pyakmalu community, Tangur Ward of Bokkos LGA, Plateau State.
While expressing deepest concerned over the unfortunate incident and said it happen at a time that the state government is making frantic efforts for all people to live in peace with one another irrespective of tribe or religion.
He condemned the heinous act in strongest possible terms, saying the killing of these innocent people is a despicable and cowardice act that has no place in the society.
“How can a human being kill his fellow human being and still feels he is human?”, he stressed.
Hon. Afwanks appreciated efforts of the security agencies and the non state actors, but encouraged them to be more proactive than reactive in handling security issues especially when early warning signs are very obvious.
He called on all and sundry to stand together in solidarity and condemnation of the senseless acts of violence.
“We should not let the actions of a few cowards divide us or undermine our resolve to build a safer and more just society for all. We should remain vigilant and report suspicious movements to the authorities”, he maintained.
The Adviser to the Governor extended his heartfelt condolences and prayed for God’s comfort to the families of the victims, Tangur ward, Bokkos LGA and Plateau State.
