The Deputy Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Isa Madaki, has congratulated the Paramount Chief of Jos East Local Government Area, His Royal Highness, Rev. Dr. Isaac Wakili, on his 75th birthday
The Deputy Speaker while speaking at Shere, the Palace of the Monarch, praised him for his examplery leadership style which brought about unity of purpose and peaceful coexistence to the land and wished him long life and prosperity.
Statement by the Chief Information Officer of Jos East Local Government Council, Mr. Magit Haruna, said the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Markus Nyam, appreciated the monarch’s fatherly advice, and quest for harmonious working relationship which he said has guided him in serving the people deligently, while wishing him well in his new age.
The celebrant, Rev. Dr. Isaac Wakili, who is the Agbang Agwom Izere of Izere nation, had earlier on expressed gratitude to God for his faithfulness throughout his life, from childhood to his military career and service as paramount chief.
He presented a gift to his wife for their 46 years marriage anniversary and thanked his family, cabinet members, government, subjects, and security chiefs for their support.
The celebrant’s wife, children, relatives, and others who spoke at the event, eulogized him as a caring father, humble, visionary, peaceful, and focused leader.
The District Head of Federe, Ada Danlami Arum Ajiji, National Chairman Afizere Elders forum, Ada Isha Agwom Nyam and the representative of the king makers who spoke separately, congratulated the paramount chief and pledged their unweavering support and loyalty to enable him achieve more feat
The event culminated in the cutting of the 75th anniversary cake and special prayers by Rev. Ajang Musa of COCIN Shere and Rev. Ishaku Yaro of ECWA Headquarters Jos.
