
Hon. Dogo Shammah, the former Nasarawa State Commissioner of information, Culture and Tourism has commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for the role he played at producing chairmanship candidates of the (APC) for the forth coming Local Government elections in the state.
The former Commissioner made the commendation in a statement he personally signed and issued to this medium, said the process of producing candidates for the party as introduced by the APC in the state is the best and easy way.
He said the just concluded nomination of candidates for chairmanship and councillorship positions through consensus arrangements in the state has proved that Governor Sule is a true democrat with a desire to enthrone transparent and accountable leadership at the third tier of government.
“Infact, the process which was introduced by the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership in Nasarawa state under the leadership of Dr. Aliyu Bello, was the best and easy way to reduce not only stress, but spending resources and taking risk to campaign before primaries elections.
“Engineer A.A Sule’s position of not taking anything for granted in the upcoming November 2nd local Government elections, needs to be supported by the electorates in order to enable the ruling party triumph victorious.
“As campaigns are under way, I am calling on both Chairmanship and Councillorship Candidates across the state to engage electorates in all nooks and crannies to ensure victory.”
Dogo Shammah also commended the governor for his tireless effort to make Nasarawa state a business hub in the North Central Zone.
He said the governor’s interest in hosting Investors is a clear demonstration of his desire to fast – tract development, as he recently hosted Investors who intend to generating Hydro-power at the Farin-Ruwa Dam in Wamba Local Government Area.
“For having interest in the project, it is my believe that it will help at fulfilling one of the road map to meeting the power needs in not only Nasarawa state but the country at large, especially in boosted small scale enterprises.” The statement added.
