The Executive Director of Plateau State Aid Control Agency PLACA, Mrs. Esther Turaki has commended the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission, PLASIEC, for putting modalities on ground for a smooth conduct of elections in the state.
Mrs.Turaki gave the commendation shortly after she casted her vote on Wednesday at Dimas polling unit, Shiwer ward of Kanke local government area.
She said the series of stakeholders engagement, voter education and the level playing ground provided PLASIEC is no doubt producing good results.
She also applauded the early arrival of electoral officials to her polling unit.
” I voted before 10 in the morning because the electoral officials arrived in good time. Unlike before that electorates will go to the polling unit and waited for long before the electoral officials will come..
“Today was different and the atmosphere was peaceful in my area.” She said.
She said though there was little hitches of network from the beginning of the exercise in her polling unit but was later addressed and the election went on smoothly.
The PLACA Executive Director also commended the Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang for matching his word of not interfering in PLASIEC activities with action.
Mrs.Turaki also commended the mass turnout and the peaceful conduct of the electorates especially in her area in exercising their franchise.
