Rainstorm: Nasarawa Traditional Ruler appeals to FG, State Govt for relief materials

Chief Adams Makka Nangba, the District Head of Wakama, has appealed to the Federal and Nasarawa State Government to assist victims of rainstorm in his domain with relief materials.

This, the District Head said is to improve on their standard of living.

The District Head made the appeal while speaking with newsmen on Sunday in his palace in Wakama, Akun Development Area of the state. 

Adams-Nangba expressed sadness over the level of building collapsed due to heavy down pour in his area.

” Following the constant rainfall from July to August 2024, the buildings and structures of many residents of Awayi/ Akpata in Wakama District have been affected as a result of rainstorm 

“Apart from collapsed of buildings, farm crops were also washed away by the heavy down pour.

” It is in view of this that I want to appeal to the federal and state government to come to the aid of community people with relief materials in order to help them reduce their loses,” he said.

The district head also called on the Non Governmental organizations ( NGOs) to come to the aid of communities affected by rainstorm in the area. 

Adams- Nangba called on village Heads and critical stakeholders to promote unity and peace in their domains 

He urged Nigerians to continue to pray for leaders to succeed.

The district head commended President Bola Tinubu and Gov Abdullahi Sule for their efforts in developing almost all sectors of the economy.
