
Nasarawa State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has commended the state Governor, Abdullahi Sule for appointing one of them as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Public Affairs
In a statement Council Secretary, Comrade Sunday John also felicitates with their colleague, Comrade Peter Ahemba, Nasarawa State Correspondent of the Pilot Newspaper and Secretary of the Correspondents’ Chapel of NUJ on his appointment the Governor.
The council believes the appointment was well deserved given the experience of the appointee in the practice of journalism as well as in the union.
The union also believes that with his appointment as SSA, practicing journalists in the state and the union would be given it rightful place in the scheme of things as the Fourth Estate of the Realm.
The union looks forward to working with the new SSA alongside other appointees to properly report the activities of the state and the government.
The Council also commends Governor Abdullahi Sule for appointing practicing journalists into different positions in his government as they look forward for a more robust relationship with the state government.
Peter Ahemba was a former Assistant Secretary of NUJ in the state and at a time, an Acting Secretary of Nasarawa State Council of NUJ.
