
The opposition People’s Democratic Party PDP in Plateau State has said that her party will win the governorship and all the 24 State House of Assembly seats in the state comes 2023.
In a statement by the spokesperson of the Party in Plateau State, John Akans while congratulating winners of the party’s primary election for House of Assembly, he said the outcome is a win-win for all participants.
Parts of the statement says, “The State leadership, warmly congratulates all winners of the State House of Assembly Party’s primaries conducted in the 24 constituencies in the state, the outcome is a win – win situation for all contestants; the polls were essentially free, fair and credible; by this reason of the glorious outcome; PDP Plateau State has emerged stronger and is set to win all the 24 seats and the Governorship in the forthcoming elections early next year.
“The State Executive Committee of the Party, while reviewing activities of the Party primaries conducted by the National leadership of the party, where it also observed that though there were minor hitches which led to slight delay in take off for commencement of voting in some centres; the electoral process started on scheduled and elections concluded on record time in many centres.
“Party therefore use this medium to express sincere appreciation to all Party members and supporters for conducting themselves in an orderly manner devoid of rancour, acrimony and violence. We enjoin all aspirants to keep up this spirit to maintain the peace and tranquility in the party and in our dear state”.
The opposition Party had conducted it’s primary for State and National Assemblies where winners have emerged with the exception of Langtang North Central and Jos North-North where there was a tied contest.
Results for Plateau Central Zone Senatorial District is also yet to be announced and that of Mangu/Bokkos as well as Pankshin/Kanke and Kanam PKK Federal Constituencies as the process is still on as of the time of this report.
