Just in: COCIN Elect Rev. Dr. Timothy Nwan as Vice President

The delegates for the 101 Church of Christ in Nations COCIN General Church Council meeting holding in Jos, the headquarters of the Church in Plateau State have elected Rev. Dr Timothy Nwan as it vice President.

The election is parts of the weeklong meeting of the Church leaders where issues affecting the Church, Nation and it’s progress were discussed.

Justice Philomena Lot (Rt), who presided over the election, said the VP elect polled a total number of 170 votes to defeat Rev. Dauda Jimra the current COCIN Deputy General Secretary who got 114.

Rev. Dr. Timothy Nwan is a Lecturer with the Gindiri Theological Seminary, an institution of the Church before his election.

Office of the Vice President of the Church became vacant last year November after the then Vice President, Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo was elected President during the 100 General Church Council of the Church.

  1. Congratulations to the new elected vp, May God give him wisdom and straight to take the church in the highest level, please the leadership of the church should avoid the issue of tribalism for the church to grow spiritually.
