Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Plateau State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC, has assured people of the state that the Party will screen and produce a better candidate that will serve the state as governor among the many aspirants.
The state APC Chairman, Mr. Rufus Bature was speaking recently when he received one of the governorship aspirants at the party Secretariat in Jos, the state capital.
He said the party will not hesitate to tell every aspirant the truth. ” If we find out that you have some deficiency we will tell you and if you are unable to correct those deficiencies then we will tell people about it and get a good candidate for the state.
“We will create a level playing ground to all aspirants, because we will work with the fair of God and make sure that those who will rule Plateau will rule with the fair of God.
“Governance is all about the people and not about individual” the Chairman’s said.
He added that the new crops of the party officials in the state are determined to bring about new narratives on what party office is all about, saying they have mapped out plans to go out and be fishers of men and women into the Party
. “One good thing that we intend doing is to break the jinx, so we can transfer power back to back, party to party” Mr. Bature added
He advised all aspirants under the party to play the game with decency and caution their supporters on any act that is undemocratic and to continue preaching peace in and around the state.
So far, more than 10 aspirants have indicated interest to contest for the 2023 governorship under the ruling All Progressives Congress APC in the state.
